The Hotel Cocorio is a beautiful new resort in Playa del Carmen. This small town is situated in the middle of the "Tourist Corridor" that stretches from Cancun to Tulum. It's in the heart of the Riviera Maya, a 25 miles (40 km) ride from the international airport of Cancun or from the Cozumel Island.
Surrounded by luxuriant tropical vegetation, Cocorio Hotel is a comfortable, informal, colonial structure that offers you all comfort you need such as: large hotel rooms with private bathroom, air conditioning, cable TV, safety box and refrigerator.
So relax and enjoy yourself! The streets are clean and safe to walk at night. The people are friendly and unhurried. The food is abundant; you can find traditional Mexican, Yucatecan, French and Italian dishes, tacos and pizzas.
Pizzeria - Osteria 'La Rucola' is at your disposal. This is a very good authentic Italian restaurant. The pizzas are very good, with thin crust typical in Italy. They also have a selection of meat and fish, fresh salads and a few desserts. It is down in the newer section of Playa that is growing and is a nice change from 5th Avenue. You will recognize the light blue tables and chairs with blue and white checkered table clothes. Closed Wednesday.
