Description
The Abyss Dive Center is a full service training center, with all amenities necessary for a safe and thorough dive education. Our multilingual dive instructors teach courses at all levels, with both SSI and PADI, the world's largest and most recognized dive training organizations. For new divers, there is not better place to learn diving than in the warm waters of the Mexican Caribbean and on the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world.
Guided tours are completed in the ocean for all divers at depths from 12 meters to 30 meters. The variety of corals, fish and animal life is vast and beautiful. Turtles, butterfly fish, moray eels, parrot fish, and more live within the varied corals that stretch all the down the coast.
Unique to the coastal areas of the Riviera Maya are the cenotes, natural sink holes that are filled with fresh water, beautiful formations and leaves the certified diver with an impression of what space travel would be like. The waters are so clear, you forget you are actually in the water.
Other water sports and activities are available to the non diving visitor who still wants to experience the mysteries and beauty of the underwater world. Snorkeling in the cenotes and the ocean provide people with alternative perspectives of these areas and are guided with a multilingual guide. In the summer months, whale shark tours are one of the most unique experiences that one could have in their lifetime and is must see tour.
To make your diving vacation an easy experience, the Abyss Dive Center is located on the property o f Hotel tropical Casablanca, a beautiful hacienda style hotel that has it own private cenote and is steps formt eh beach and the famous 5th ave.
